Eviler Minecraft


What is the original Evil Minecraft, and what made it so special? Eviler Minecraft was one the earliest modpacks made by PopularMMOS, which intended on making Minecraft harder and more difficult. There are many such packs like this, what makes this one so special you ask?

Unlike other modpacks, such as "Blood N' Bones" or "RL Craft" (that came later) ,which added new and very 'in your face' mechanics specifically to make the game harder.

They often used 'realism' as an excuse to make the pack (sometimes) annoying difficult. If you are a player who intends to want to play Minecraft but harder, these packs were a no go due to how invasive and unforgiving it was to the normal Minecraft experience they were. They fundamentally overworked Minecraft's start, middle, and end.

That is what made Evil Minecraft so different and special to any other pack of its time. It is the the fact it never added anything that was 'in your face', and maintained a very vanilla experience. There really is no other such modpack such like it.


Try it Yourself

I honestly recommend you to give it a try, and experience it for yourself. You can find an Evil Minecraft modpack(made by my friend) here. Even tho its in an old Minecraft version (1.5.2), it is still quite stable, and offers a very fun time.

What does Eviler Minecraft do?

Well, as it sates, Eviler Minecraft is PopularMMOS' "Evil Minecraft" modpack but harder. It also contains much more mods, remincent a more modded style pack, which PopularMMOS was know for in his "Epic Proportions" Series.

The Hardcore Ender Dragon is now much stronger than he was in the original.

You will now have to fight many other hard bosses(from mods such as Grimore of Gia 3 and Tragic MC 2) along your journey in order to get you needed to prepare against the battle of Douglas(The Hardcore Ender Dragon). In addition, you will heave to deal with new and stronger Variants of mobs(which can be buffed thanks to Infernal Mobs and are now smarter thanks to Special AI and Zombie Awareness.)

The Block Weilder has now dicded to lay his invader zombies all throught your world across you world to try and viciously hunt you down. You will not be able to escape their wrath. All you can just do is surivive!!! After three days, the block weilder will then come after three days to try and finish you off, while his while army of minions try to demolish you for everything you have got.

There are now numerous new dungeons and structures for you to fight and loot against. Will you be able to sucesfully defeat the powerful and intellgent mobs from choclate Quest(BetterDungeons), the monsterous zombies and skeletons from Rougelike and DoomLike Dungeons, or even the BattleTower Golem?

Also, don't forget you now have to maintain yout thirst! There are also now baby variants of mobs

As you can see there is much more action, difficulty, and adventure as compared to the original modpack. It also takes a less vanilla style approach, opting to instead be more modded like Epic Proportions, while not trying to be a 'realistic modpack'

Performance

You may be thinking that all these mods in the modpack would slow everything to a hault? No, that is no the case.
Thanks to FalsePattern, VenTooth whom made amazinly powerful Performance mods to eliminate any fps drops or performance hitches that could have been caused. You can try their stuff here.

Thanks is also given to the GTNH team, who made many forks of the mods used, which fixed bugs and overally improved performance for the pack. You can see them here

I am associated with neither.

Vortex himself also did modify Zombie Awareness and Infernal Mobs to fix some performance issues, and also add back lost features or fix annoying bugs. But most of the the performance were done by those amazing people mentioned above.
